Boswell's Holland is the fourth book of Patrick's painting journeys where we find him travelling from Zeeland in the South to the Frisian Islands in the North of the country. This book is the culmination of multiple trips to Holland over three years. Painting mainly en plein air he is equally at home standing on the street corners of the Amsterdam canala to recording an ever changing scene of the harbours of the Ijsselmeer. He captures the moment with a delightful impressionistic style that is pleasing to the eye and he is a master of the Dutch landscape. Boswell's Broadland is the third book in the series of Patrick's East Anglian journeys in paint, following on from his award winning 'Boswell's Norwich' and Boswell's Coast. After a years work painting throughout the Broadland region where he recorded rivers, regattas and recreation on the water. A professional artist for over 20 years, Patrick is perhaps best known for his figurative and coastal beach scenes. In this book he takes a charming journey of discovery along the rivers and back waters of Broadland starting his painting adventure on the river in Norwich, visiting all the principal Broads and river tributaries of the rivers Ant, Bure, Waveney and Yare. Along the way he has set up his easel both on board his traditional Norfolk dinghy and on the river banks producing over 70 oil paintings. Also featured are over 30 etchings and lithographs from a private collection of early Broadland artists showing the Broads as they were at the turn of the 20th Century. Boswell's Coast is the sequel to Patrick's Jarrolds Book award winning 'Boswell's Norwich'. After a years work painting amongst the historic streets of Norwich, Patrick returned to where his heart truly lies, the Norfolk and Suffolk coastline of East Anglia.
